Graduation Countdown Flower Pot
The idea behind it is that once a day, her niece will pick one of the flowers from the pot and read the little message inside written by her mother or other family members.
We told her mom, who is struggling with the idea of her daughter graduating, to try to keep the messages positive.
No "I will be lost without yous" and definitely no "Please stay a little longers." After she picks all the flowers her graduation will be the following day and then she will get to read the graduation letter that looks like the rolled diploma.
I used the Everyday Paper Doll cricut cartridge for the caps and the Disney friends cart for the pawprints. Each card is a 2x4 strip folded in half. They all have a slit in them to slide the cards on and off the sticks.
I was told that the graduate liked it so much it ended up on Facebook in less than 10 minutes.
Now that's a compliment.
Teacher Appreciation Week: so berry sweet
This might be one of my new favorite cricut cuts. It is off of the Spring Cottage cartridge and it it too stinking cute.
I made a bunch of these for the teachers in my building. I was looking for those yummy strawberry hard candies to put in them, but alas, I couldn't find any so I had to settle for caramel Hershey kisses.
I cut them at 3.25 inches, tied them with twine and added a little label.
Simple. Easy. Cute.
Made by me Monday: some scrapbook pages
These pictures are all from 2008. I think little G ate more blueberries than he picked.
These lemons were cut using the simple sweet cricut cartridge. I think the boys made about $3.00 that day and they thought they were rich.
Joe Cool. Love these pics of little G.
These last ones are from the first swim in our backyard pool before we joined a much larger one. I may have posted some of these already but I felt like putting a handful of them together for Made By Me Monday.

Made by Me Monday: more bulletin boards
I have been cutting out bulletin boards non-stop on the cricut over the last month. It has actually been a lot of fun to see these boards spring to life. The pictures I have been posting do not do them justice. Next week, i will try to post pics of the actual boards so you can get a better idea of the size.
This week, I am posting a picture of the kindergarten bulletin board. It features three puppies from the create a critter cricut cartridge. They are cut at 9 1/4 inches. The students names will be written on the bones.
What did you make this week?

Made By Me Monday: Class of 2021
Sadly, summer is coming to a close. Last week, I posted some pictures of a first grade bulletin board I was working on.
This week I am sharing pictures of a third grade bulletin board I am working on. The current third graders are the Class of 2021 and our district vision statement stresses the importance of graduation. With that in mind, here are the little graduates I created with the cricut Everyday Paperdoll cartridge.
The diplomas will feature each students name.
Thanks for visiting.
Thanks for taking time to visit!
Made by Me Monday: first grade bulletin board idea

I am skippin' along with Lou today and posting some items I have cut for one of the first grade teachers in our building.
These sweet little cows are from the create a critter cartridge for the cricut and they are cut at 4 inches. The barns are cut at 4 1/2 inches and the grass strip is 1 1/4 inch by 8 1/2 inches.
The words, which are not pictured, are also at 4 inches and say "First Grade is Something To Moooooooo about."
Hump Day Craft Post: a few scrapbook pages
Hump Day Craft Post Hump: The Craft Room Redo
I can honestly say that I am happy that the desk is gone but I would be lying to you if I said that I knew where the googly eyes are. I can tell you that I am working on it.
This is my newest addition. I bought it, along with the drawers, at Target. I really like that it goes with my current color scheme. As you can see, I still have stuff on the floor that I need to go through.
I am working diligently in attempting to organize my paper and have come to the conclusion that I am a paper whore. I mean I have 15 different shade of red. What? Really? Yep. It's bad. So bad that I may need to join a support group and attempt to not buy a single sheet until January 1st.
January 1, 2014.
Hump day craft post: craft room clean up
I am attempting to clean out my craft room. The big brown desk is taking up space that I need so it is getting the boot. I am organizing the paper and getting rid of what I don't use. It is taking FOREVER!
I may have too many cricut cartridges as I am now out of shelf space. Do you think this indicates a problem?
The brown desk was sooooo heavy that even after it was empty I couldnt move it. Hubby had to dismember it and carry it down the steps piece by piece.
I have a new shelving unit up now and I am working on the organizational portion of the project, which is my least favorite part.
You will have to wait until next week to see finshed project.
Hump Day Craft Post: oh crap!
I was playing around with the Cricut Campin' Critters cartridge and just because this port-a-potty skunk made me chuckle I thought I'd cut it out. In my warped mind it would make a clever invitation. You could put a little "Oh Crap" sign on the potty door and on the back you could write "Summer's almost over. Join us for a picnic on ......". You get the picture.
The only thing I don't like about this cartridge is the eyes. I recommend having some googly eyes lying around because the eye cuts from the cart don't look realistic.

ON A PERSONAL NOTE: The biopsy I wrote about last week came back absolutely fine. A big thank you to everyone who left me a supportive comment. You are all awesome!
Let's talk OBSESSION
This is my new Cricut Expression! Santa brought it for me! It is a die cutting machine. Basically, you never need an alphabet sticker again. You just type it and out comes the word in whatever size you want. LOVE IT! It also makes a slew of different characters and designs.
These are the the cartridges that work in the above cricut. I've been accumulating them since 2006. I used to have the small machine until Santa delivered the mother load... LOL
I'm I the only one annoyed by the fact that one of the carts in this picture is upside down??? Yeah, probably. Two ton of laundry all over the place and I'm concerned about an upside down cartridge.
More of the random stuff I haven't used. But seriously, who can pass up Donald Duck on a bottle cap?? IMHO, everyone should have at least two.
If you have any colored pencils at all, you should have Prismacolor. They have deep shades that blend easily. Just talking about them makes me want to color something.
This is my rubber stamp cabinet. As you can see, it is over flowing with stamps I really need to use. They are beckoning me to stamp and color them with Prisma...LOL
The last obsession for this post is well worth mentioning, especially for all you actual scrapbookers. This album may look like any ol' 12x12 book. But it's not; it is held together by velcro and manufactured by a company call Scrap It Simple. It is totally awesome to not have to deal with any type of binding.
For the two of you who actually made it to the end of this post thanks. Deb, if you happen to be one of those two people...I want you to know that I was torn between writing this post or a post about my other obsession which, of course, is flossing. **smile**
