Happy Made By Me Monday!

Hello Strangers! How have you all been? I took a little blogging break over the thanksgiving holiday to spend time with out of town family.

I hope all of you were at a table surrounded by those you love.

This week's made by me Monday features two wreaths. And let me just tell you, they are a lot easier than they look.

All you need are some plastic Christmas balls and a wire hanger. Take the hanger apart and shape it into a circle. String the Christmas balls on. If you are using multiple sizes and colors be sure to alternate them.

Once you get to the end, secure the hanger back together and add a bow. Perferably not as outlandishly large as mine.

Total cost of this project = about $5.00.

Hump Day Craft Post Hump: The Craft Room Redo

Last week I showed what my craft room look like before I destroyed reorganized it.  It has been a SLOOOOOOw process attempting to clean it back up.  I started this project because I wanted to get rid of the brown desk that was taking up so much space and to actually know where things like googly eyes and eyelets were hiding.

I can honestly say that I am happy that the desk is gone but I would be lying to you if I said that I knew where the googly eyes are.  I can tell you that I am working on it.

This is my newest addition.  I bought it, along with the drawers, at Target.  I really like that it goes with my current color scheme.  As you can see, I still have stuff on the floor that I need to go through.

I am working diligently in attempting to organize my paper and have come to the conclusion that I am a paper whore.  I mean I have 15 different shade of red.  What?  Really?  Yep.  It's bad.  So bad that I may need to join a support group and attempt to not buy a single sheet until January 1st.

Hump Day Craft Post: Teacher gift-Disney Album

I made this scrapbook for my son's teacher as an end of the year gift. She went to Disney earlier in the year with her family and I thought she would appreciate the gesture.

Some of my friends request teachers for their children.  Perhaps an older sibling had that teacher or maybe they just heard great things about them. I don't do that. I've never requested a teacher for any of my children.

I might request someone I think would be most awesome only to find out that my son would have done better in a totally different atmosphere.  I am very happy he ended up in the 1st grade class he ended up in.  It was exactly what he needed.  How exciting is it that he is looping to 2nd grade with the same teacher?  She knows his strengths, his weakness, she knows exactly where he is at.

Over the course of the school year she went from being just my kid's teacher to becoming my friend and I couldn't be happier that he will have her again.

Let me know if you are posting a craft today.  I'd love to pop over and visit.
