Once Upon A Time: The Stable Boy

This week we final learn just why Regina hates Snow and quite frankly, it's a little justified.

IN STORYBROOK:

It opens with Regina fiddling with a simple ring and we flashback a week and hear how she and Gold came up with a devious plan to get rid of Kathryn.

Back in the present, David whines a lot about Mary Margaret, Regina spends what too much time mocking MM and I continue to be amazed by the fact that Emma gets paid to be a Sheriff.

Sydney brings Emma flowers because he has nothing else to offer. Gold sets up a pretrial interview with the DA who happens to be King George or Charles Widmore depending on the show.

August tells Emma that when he gets writer's block he starts at the beginning and retraces his steps. She heads back to the dig where Ruby unearthed Kathryn's heart. She finds a piece of a shovel. She and August break into Regina's house and located the broken shovel. Like any good sheriff, she returns the next day with a warrant.

The shovel has been replaced.

She accuses August of being a traitor, but finds out Sydney is the traitor. She located a bug in the flowers he brought her.

Mary Margaret apologizes to Regina saying that she is sorry for whatever she has done to her. Apology not accepted.

In a major turn of events, just as MM was headed to court Kathryn is found alive in the alley.

IN FAIRYTALE land....

Regina is actually likeable and somewhat friendly and nice. Her mother on the other hand is pure evil. Regina is in love with Daniel, the stable boy. She is afraid to tell her mother.

I can't say I blame her as she is a wicked sorceress with a very bad temper.

Maxine from Wizards of Waverly Place comes barreling through her land on a runaway horse. Regina saves her.

Because she saves her, the king proposes. We learn that Maxine is really Snow White, the motherless daughter of King Leopold (whom I just love). Regina's mother accepts on her behalf and Regina is devastated. After all her true love, the stable boy, has not yet been capture by the dread pirate Roberts.

Regina rushes off to tell Daniel they must flee. Snow witness this and is very upset. Regina consoles her and tells her some ridiculously Disney-like crap about true love and how love is the most powerful magic of all and it creates happiness.

Honestly, I gagged a little.

Snow promises she will never tell anyone that Regina loves Daniel, but her cuteness is no match for Regina's evil mother, who gets the truth out of Snow after just one commercial break.

Regina's mother pulls Daniel's heart from his chest while Regina looks on. She tells her that love is weakness and that power endures.

Snow is surprised to learn that Regina is now marrying her father. She tells Snow that Daniel ran off and that she is surprised to realize she does, indeed, love King Leopold. Snow is happy. Snow tells her that she knew her mother would understand about how love works and Regina realizes the child did not keep her promise.

She has been dreaming of making her pay ever since.

We are on hiatus until April 22nd but return with a little more info on Rumple and the mysterious, yet oh so sexy, August.

Once Upon A Time: Skin Deep

After a week off, Once Upon A Time returned last night with a Beauty and the Beast episode. I was excited to see Emilie DeRaven (Claire, from LOST) joining the ABC cast.

In Storybrook

Belle's dad, the florist, gets his truck reposessed by Rumple. Just a few days before Valentine's Day. He is not happy about this.

David and Snow share a brief encounter at the diner. He is reading Withering Heights. (I think) Red suggests that she, Ashley (Cinderella) and Snow go out for Valentine's day. Skip the men.

Rumples house gets broken into. Emma responds but Gold doesn't seem too excited to see her. He tells her that he is a difficult man to love. Indeed.

She recovers most of his stolen goods within a few days, but he is missing something precious and determined to find it. We see him at the drug store buying duct tape and rope. David is buying two Valentines...ouch.

We watch as Rumple takes Belle's dad to a cabin in the words and basically beats him with a cane. Yelling you took her! You shunned her! You need to give her back! Emma intervenes. She arrests Rumple.

The Evil Queen comes to the jail and asks for 30 minutes alone with Rumple. Emma abides. She takes Henry for ice cream.

Regina wants Mr. Gold to tell her his name. And then she will give him what he seeks. After much prying he replies "Rumplestiltskin". Ouch. So he does remember. What does she give him...a chipped tea cup.

Meanwhile, in a rather cute moment, Sean proposes to Ashley. In a rather awkward moment, David gives MaryMargaret the wrong card. Sorry...Prince Charming that's a deal breaker.

In the final scene, we see Regina visit Belle in a mental hospital. Belle is looking rough, humgging herself in the corner. She is very much alive.

In fairytale land...

The story is significantly darker. With her kingdom falling to war, Rumple is their last hope, Belle's father offers riches but Rumple asks for Belle. She doesn't love Gaston, whom she is pledged too. She goes with Rumple.

"No one decides my fate but me," said Belle

Rumple takes her to his castle and locks her up. After awhile, he lets her out. She begins to enjoy his company. He begins to tell her a little bit about his son and his wife. she chips one of his tea cups but he doesn't seem to mind. Gaston comes looking for her but Rumple turns him into a rose.

After a little bit of time, Belle begins to grow fond of Rumple. He releases her. She runs into the EQ. She tells her that all curses can be broken by true loves kiss. Um...kind of cheesey.

Belle returns to the castle. She kisses Rumple who begins to change. But he decides that she is tricking him. He doesn't want to lose his power.

He tells her to leave. She flees.

Rumple smashes many things but leaves the chipped glass.

Later he is visited by the EQ who tells him that Belle's father shunned her. That after her fiance went missing, she couldnt be trusted. He locked her in a tower and she jumped to her death.

Rumple appears crushed.

After the EQ leaves Rumple displays his chipped glass prominately in the main hall. As if to indicate that he is broken and always will be.

Next week. Prince Charming, Snow and a creepy mermaid!

Once Upon A Time: The Shepherd

This week we learn that our poor Prince Charming has yet another name.

Seriously?

In Fairytale Land

It appears that our dashing prince is unstopable.  He galantly defeats an evil ugly brute and is rewarded by King Midas.  His father (Charles Widmore from LOST) is beaming with pride when Midas turns Charming's sword to gold and promises even more once he defeats the dragon.

Thankfully Midas back at the castle by the time the evil-ugly brute, whose death has been greatly exaggerated, RUNS CHARMING THROUGH WITH AN EVIL-UGLY SPEAR.

I did not see that coming.

Enter Rumple.

Dude...this guy is everywhere and Robert Carlyle continues to impress me with his acting skills.

He tells King "Widmore" that dead is dead ( a great LOST reference).  Then he reveals that James has a twin brother.  Turns out Rumple's fetish for fetching babies isn't just reserved for maid servants named Cinderella.  He works for royalty, too.

This is when we flash to our sweet Shepard boy (his name is not revealed, but one can hope that it is David)

Turns out ma and paw were trying to save the farm.  Ever notice how expensive it is to run a farm?  Apparently, it is sooo expensive that Ma is willing to give up one of her baby boys to keep the farm a float for a short while.  Um...seems a little far fetched.  I mean, if you're gonna give up one of the twins at least get enough money to be set for life.

But alas, Ma didn't think that far ahead and now Paw is dead and she is trying to marry Charming off to some chick with a big set of .... dowries.

Until Rumple entices him with a proposition.  You slay the dragon.  Your family lives comfortably.  Personally, I'd get that in writing.  It didn't work out very well last time.

Charming agrees.  First mistake.  Then the cute farm boy actually succeeds in slaying the worst CG dragon I have ever seen.  Made me miss the black smoke from LOST.

Midas is overjoyed with his new mantle piece and King "Widmore" is anxious to be reward.  Of course there is always a catch.

This one has a name.  Abigail.

Abigal announces that "He'll do" and I begin to wonder why she is so dislikable in fairytale land while I don't mind her much in Storybrook.

Charming shares a Lifetime moment with his ma (who he is apparently harboring no resentment at all towards...curious) and then heads off into the sunset with his new bitch bride.  Off to meet Snow.

I thought it was a nice touch that in this episode, Charming had no scar on his chin.

Meanwhile back in Storybrook.

Mary Margaret is mopping about  Charming.  Turns out David is home and Kathryn is tired of him giving her googly eyes.

David leaves his own welcome home party to chase after Mary and remind her that he feels so much more for her than he does Kathryn.

He pulls out the all time worst married guy line of all time saying that she doesn't mean anything to him and that he is drawn to her.  "She needs someone to feel about her the way I feel about you."  Seriously?

As much as I want him to choose already I'm having a little trouble feeling bad for him.  He has all the cards.

Mary wrestles with her feelings and talks to Emma about it who pours her a drink and says, "If you think something you want to do is wrong, it usually is."

Seems like there is a lot of random drinking and newspaper reading in this episode. Go ahead...watch it again.  You know you wanna.

David decides to leave Kathryn and we all cheer.  He asks Snow to meet him at the Toll Bridge.  To which, Emma encourages her to go.  She throws caution to the wind and goes.

Like the village idiot, David asks for directions from Regina.  Okay...this is too much.  Does he really think that she is going to tell him how to get to the bridge.

Regina leads him to Rumple.  Why?  No one knows.

David walks into Gold's shop and fiddles with the glass mobile that used to grace Emma's crib.  He hollers out to see if anyone is there.  He walks past those creepy dolls from last weeks episode.  "Charming," Gold says.  Clever.

David does not get the reference.  Gold give him directions to the bridge but as David turns to leave he is entranced by a windmill.  We think he remembers his life with Snow.  His farm.  His Ma.  But no.  He has remembered his fake life with Kathryn.

He goes to the bridge but not to confess his dying love, but to tell Mary that he is returning to Kathryn.  Wrong choice.

Mary is upset and alone.  A bad combination.

Enter Dr. Whale.

Um...this dude is almost as creepy as Rumple.

He tells her he avoids feelings of rejection by doing the unexpected.  And she lets him buy her a drink...or two.

That can't be good.

Whale's fairytale counterpart has not yet been revealed, but I believe that he is either the wolf from Red Riding hood, the whale from Pinocchio or Doc the dwarf.  Either way, there is something off about him.

Other revelations..Emma finds out that Graham is sleeping with Regina.

Next week:  Graham's story.  Is he really the huntsman?  And does he remember?

LOST: The Candidate

I'm not a big fan of Jack-centric episodes, but seeing as we've gone two weeks without LOST I didn't care what this one was about as long as it was new.

It's opens with a clever play on words. Jack is at the hospital and he tells Locke that "He may be a candidate." Of course, he isn't talking about island life. He is talking about fixing John. Helping him to walk again.

John isn't very keen on the idea.

Never one to take no for an answer, Jack goes searching for doctors who have treated Locke in the past and stumbles into Bernard's office. Oh...how I love Bernard. Jack is a little freaked out to learn that he too was on Flight 815 from Sydney.
Bernard says he can't help out Jack with the details of the accident but he can tell him who was in the accident with him. Anthony Cooper. He remembers even though it was more than three years ago. In true Lost fashion he tells Jack "I hope you find what you are looking for."
Jack goes to see Anthony at some nursing home and finds Anthony is literally a shell of his former self. Forced to sit in a wheelchair and drool on himself. Many viewers may find this a fitting kharma for dear Mr. Cooper.

Meanwhile back on the island...Sayid tells Jack that Flocke wants to rescue Jack's friends. The gang has gotten themselves locked in the animal cages again. I mean seriously...are there no new sets this episode?
Flocke cuts the power and gets smokey on their ass and soon only the regulars remain....and LePenis.
They head to the plane where Flocke takes out two additional extras and comes out of the plane anxious to tell the remaining "candidates" that it is rigged with dynamite.
**side note** Is there an unlimited supply of dynamite on this island or what?
Anyway, it's pretty obvious to us that he just rigged up that little contraption with the watch he stole from the dead guy but either way everyone is too freaked out to board the plane and they all immediately head for the sub.
This is where things turn south.
Kate gets shot.
Flocke sneaks the dynamite into Jacks bag and everyone takes off in the sub. Everyone except for Claire and Flocke.
Jack grabs his bag to rescue Kate and finds the bomb. Not exactly something you want to find while in a sub diving down.
Jack says do nothing. Sawyer says do something. Sayid says you should pull all the wires out. Jack says don't. Sawyer says who put you in charge. It soon becomes clear that the bomb is going to go off.
In a last ditch effort to redeem himself, Sayid say Desmond is still alive in the well and you should retrieve him. He attempts to get the bomb to the far end of the sub.
Bye Sayid. I will miss you.
The blast takes out LePenis (which wasn't a real shocker.) It also pins Sun to the side of the ship and creates the saddest scene on LOST to date. I thought little could compare to the Jin death scene when we thought he had blown up on the freighter. I heard Sun screaming for him over and over and it was torture.
But this scene. This scene is hard for me to write about. I can't even joke about it. It was so painful to watch. Few things make me cry but I sobbed while I watch as Jin tried in vain to free Sun. I sobbed as the water in the sub creeped higher. I sobbed when Sun pleaded with Jin to save himself. I sobbed when it became apparent that the writers planned to kill off, not one but, four regular characters in one night.
When Jin told Sun in Korean that he would never leave her again. I could barely see through my tears.

When the camera faded to just their hands and the water finally parting them, the whole scene took my breathe away. How sad that they are both gone. How wonderful that they went together.
Back on the island four remain....Jack, Sawyer, Kate and Hurley. Who will we say goodbye to next? Flocke and Claire are in pursuit? Is Whitmore still alive?
In closing we join Jack and Locke at the hospital. Jack tells Locke that he met his father. He tells him that it's not his fault. "What happened happened."
Locke says it is his fault. He crashed the plane they were on. He did that to his father. Jack says no matter how much you punish yourself it will not bring him back.
As Locke leaves, Jack says "I wish you would have believed me."
Good job, Jack. Not everyone gets to use someone's suicide note against them.
Eager for next week when we learn more about the MIB and Jacob, as well as the mystery jungle boy.

LOST - Everybody Loves Hugo

I was very excited about this episode as, like the title eludes, I love Hugo. I think most Losties too. He is an unlikely hero and I have high expectations for him as this show nears its conclusion.

On the island, Richard and Ilana are in a sort of power struggle and grasping at straws.

Richard: "How do you kill smoke?"
Ilana: "Dynamite. That kills everything."
Richard: "True. And I know a ship that has been on this island since the late 1800s that is loaded with dynamite. It still works because this is not likely to solve any of our problems."
Ilana: "Let's go get some."
Richard: "Where will we put it?"
Ilana: "I will just shove it down into my backpack. We'll trek it through the forest and blow up that plane. That way even if we don't kill smokey we will successfully trap us all on this island until the end of time."
Richard: "This is a good idea. Especially the part about you carrying the dynamite."

Any guess who blew up in mid sentence? Go ahead...shout out the answer when you know.

Meanwhile, back in LA. Hugo is a gazzilionaire with a heart. Yep. You heard that right. He is not only The Mr. Cluck Chicken he is the man of the year, the person of the year and the bachelor of the year.

His mama is proud of everything except the bachelor part. She fixes him up on a blind date.

She doesn't show. But guess who does. That's right. LIBBY! Sweet! I love Hugo and I love Libby. This has to be great. Wrong. She's in the mental hospital that Hugo used to be in. She was apparently on an outing and her doctor lost track of her.

Before she is carted away, she tells Hugo that they are soul mates. That they were in a plane crash together. That they liked each other. He likes her but can't get over the fact that she is loony. Or so he thinks.

Richard is pissed that Ilana blew up the only dynamite they had and he wants to get more. Jack says, "Maybe she blew it up to show us not to mess with dynamite." Jack does have a doctorate degree. He may be on to something.

Michael appears to Hugo and tells him that they must not destroy the plane. That he must convince everyone to go and talk to Flocke.

Meanwhile, Flocke is getting to know Desmond whom Sayid captured and tied to a tree. While he was there "rescuing" Desmond he didn't bother to bring back Jin.

Flocke wants to know all about the experiment that Desmond was involved in and why Chuck brought him back to the island. Desmond seems to be on Xanax and says, "I have no idea, brother."

Flocke takes him to a well in the middle of nowhere and throws him in. In the Bible, Jacob had a son named Joseph. He wore a coat of many colors. In the Veggie Tale version, he is a pickle and his brother's are peas. They throw Joseph down a well. Things end up better for Joseph than all of his brother--just sayin...

Back in LA: Desmond shows up and talks to Hugo. He says, "What's the matter, brother?" Hugo tells him that he met a nice woman but that she is crazy. Like really crazy...he saw the van and everything.

Desmond tells him not to give up. Hugo go to the hospital and makes a huge donation and visits with Libby. She tells him again that they are soul mates. He asks her out on a date. They finally have their picnic on the beach. You know the one Michael so jacked up when he MURDERED Libby!!!

When she kisses him he sees their life on the island.

He is remembering.

Back on the island:

Hurley blows up the black rock. No more dynamite. No more problem. Richard is pissed. He is going to look for some more elsewhere. Ben and Miles go with him.

Hurley convinces the rest of them, mute Sun, Jack and LePenis, to go with him to talk to Flocke. Hurley is scared. Jack is thinking about Kate. Sun wants to see Jin but will have to wait until the finale and LePenis can't believe that he hasn't blown up yet.

Back in LA.

Desmond is sitting in a car outside of a school. Ben thinks he looks creepy. That's kind of funny, isn't it? He tells him to move along. Desmond says, "Okay, brother."
He speeds out of the parking lot and runs over Locke at full throttle. It was impressive.
Fade to black. Until next week....

LOST: Happily Ever After

I was looking forward to this episode as soon as I realized it would feature Desmond.  For many reason, but specifically it's because he is so stinking cute and I just love his accent.

It doesn't take Desmond long to realize that he isn't living the good life on a ship with his wife, Penny and their baby Charlie.  In fact, shortly after Zoey, aka Sarah Palin wakes him from his slumber he tries to beat Charles to death with a IV pole.

He is unsuccessful and soon learns that he need to take part in "an experiment".

Meanwhile, the Desmond who landed at LAX is smooth, single and employed by Charles Widmore.  If that wasn't enough to make your stomach lurch, I have to admit that the office hug made me vomit a little.

Who's the limo driver?  None other than George!  The same George who was on the cargo ship and couldn't find his constant.  Remember when he died in Desmond's arms?  His last words "I can't get back."  It was great to see him again.  Still working for Widmore, but not bleeding from his nose.

LA Desmond learns that he must pick up Charlie at the police station and "babysit" him for the day.  DriveShaft, Charlies band, is preforming at a benefit being put together by Mrs. Widmore and she is not someone you want to cross.

Desmond having never met anyone quite like Charlie before soon finds himself at a bar having a drink with him.  He tells him about how he nearly died on the plane and how at that moment he realize that he has known love and basically describes Clair but doesn't know how he knows her.  He seems determined to kill himself so he can find her.

Desmond tells him he has a choice.  He can go with him or he can sit around and fantasize about his mystery girl.  "There is always a choice, mate."

The two proceed to Desmond's car and Charlie give Desmond a choice.  He can either get out of the car or stay in it and learn what he is talking about.

Charlie grabs the wheel and drives them straight into the water.  The car begins to sink and just like we've seen before Charlie makes no attempt to stop himself from drowning.  For a brief moment, while Desmond is trying to save him he sees NOT PENNY'S BOAT scrawled on his hand.

Desmond doesn't know who Penny is.
After he and Charlie are taken to Jack's hospital, Desmond is given a CAT scan.  During the CAT scan he has flashes of his other life.  The life he spent with Penny.  The birth of his son.  Soon he is convinced that Charlie may be on to something.

He finds him in the hospital and realizes that he has nothing written on his hand soon he is told by Widmore that he must tell his wife that DriveShaft will not be playing the benefit.

Who, you ask is Mrs. Widmore, F**KING Eloise Hawkings.  But in this episode it is Eloise Widmore!  And Daniel is there...he is Daniel Widmore and not Daniel Faraday.  My brain turned to mush shortly after this.

After overhearing, Desmond ask about Penny only to be nearly beheaded by Eloise, Daniel follows Desmond to his car.

He tells him that just the other day he saw a beautiful redhead who he is certain he has loved before and wants to know if Desmond feels this way about Penny.  Daniel then shows him a drawing he made in his journal and says "I'm a musician and there is no way I should have been able to do this quantum physics.  I think that I may have set off a nuclear bomb.  I think this may mean that we aren't where we are supposed to be."

Daniel tells him that Penny is his half sister and then he tells Desmond he can find her jogging at the stadium.
Desmond finds her and faints when they touch hands.  The agree to see each other again later for coffee.  After all, you always have a choice.

When Desmond returns to the limo, George says "Did you find what you were looking for?"

Desmond answers yes.  Then he asks if George can get him the list of all the people who were on the flight from Sydney.  George says sure, but why?  and Desmond says he has something he needs to show them.

Meanwhile, back on the island, after turning one person inside out in an electromagnetic box, Widmore throws Desmond into the box and turns it on.  Desmond does not turn inside out.

But when he wakes he is no longer angry.  He is cooperative.  Sarah Palin is suspicious.  Desmond tells her that a lot can happen in 20 minutes.

Sarah says she knows.  She lost an election with a 10 minute TV interview with Katie Couric.

NEXT WEEK:  Hurley and his story.  Damn....I'm excited about that.

What not to say...

Did you ever wish that some people you knew had to take a class in what was appropriate conversation and what was not?

For example, today at the cafeteria, a substitute aide started a conversation with me by saying, "I thought I had a hemorrhoid but..."

Now I knew this wasn't going to be headed in a place I wanted to go but was at a loss as to how to stop it.

Therefore, I have taken it upon myself to offer some etiquette tips.

What not to say...

  • unless asked, all medical procedures should not be discussed.
  • Never, under any circumstances, should you start a sentence with "I thought I had a hemorrhoid but..."
  • your sex life is of no interest to me.
  • please refrain from telling me who your ex is currently "banging".
  • and, as always, discussing politics can lead to the loss of friends.

What you CAN say...

  • Are we really going to get 2 feet of snow this weekend?
  • Did you try the tangerine chicken? What did you think?
  • That new episode of LOST was mind blowing. Did you watch it?
  • When will GLEE's second season start?
  • Seen anything weird at Walmart lately?

Can you see the difference?

If you know anyone who could benefit from this post, lead the way.

Welcome home my long LOST friend

***spoiler alert****

By the time the season premiere of LOST aired last night I was literally giddy with excitement. I was sitting on the edge of my seat and just about drooling.

Soon the screen flashed white and I started to view two worlds the "Our plane lands safely in LA world" and the "Oh shit we are still on the island world".

Thus begins the final season of my beloved show and again its asking and (hopefully answering) the question would the survivors of the downed Oceanic flight be better off if they had never crashed on the island?

Often I am asked why I like this show so much. Here are some obvious reasons.

Boone: Oh how I've missed thee. He died in season one or maybe season two but because season 6 is letting us see the "we landed safely in LA world" there he was smiling at me on the plane in last night's episode. That right there is some nice eye candy.

Jacob: Believed to be the "God-like" character on the show seen here with his alter ego the unnamed man in black. He can visit me anytime. Last night we learned that he did indeed die when stabbed by Ben him in the season five finale.

He appeared to Hurley and told him how to save Sayid. He must take him to the temple.

Charlie: Sweet, sweet Charlie. Former rock star, drug addict and island dweller. Charlie drowned in season 4 by was alive and not-so-well in last night's episode. He tried to kill himself on the flight to LAX and was saved by none-other than Dr. Jack Shepherd.

Welcome home sweet Charlie. Welcome home.

Things I noticed in last night's episode:

  • Sawyer really was in love with Juliet. It was sad to see her die. What do you think she met by "It worked?" Personally, I think she was talking about the fact that resetting the bomb really did make Sawyer choose between Juliet and Kate. That, in the end, he picked her.
  • Jack continues to be an ass. Both on the plane and on the island.
  • That even though the plane didn't crash that didn't keep some of our beloved cast members from meeting. Boone met up with John Locke; Jack spoke to Bernard and Rose (who is suffering from cancer); Jack literally ran into Kate and saved Charlie from ODing. Later in the episode, once off the plane, Jack had an interesting conversation with Locke when he told him, "Nothing is irreversible."
  • Jacob really can be killed. I was not expecting that.
  • Alive John Locke is really the black smoke monster and the monster can kick your ass unless you have some ash? Really?
  • There are even more other others on this island and they live in a temple with the guy from karate kid...wax on, wax off!
  • Anyone else think that Sayid looked bizarrely like Jesus coming out of that healing pool?? What's up with that? His character is least like Jesus. He's a murderer and a torturer? I'm not seeing the parallel?
  • Kate ends up in the same cab as Claire. Do you think they will end up as friends and somehow Kate will again end up with Aaron?
  • I don't like the Sun and Jin who landed in LA but I can't wait to see the Sun and Jin island reunion!
  • What's up with the karate guy character and the note? Who wrote the note? Jacob? Why are their names on it?
  • Did Sayid really come back from the dead?
If you blogged your thoughts leave me a link so I can visit!

LOST - oh how I've missed thee

One week from tonight!

The final season of LOST begins!

I am more excited than a small child on Christmas Eve.

Just look at this cast photo.  It is oozing with symbolism to the point of insanity.  It's the LAST SUPPER for cryin' out loud.

Here are just a few clues currently being disscussed ad nauseum on the message boards.

• The table is a wing of a small plane.

• They are eating and drinking Dharma products.

• The Swan symbol is imprinted on the ruins behind them.

(In addition, they are sitting in airplane seats and there appear to be human skulls strewn about on the ground.)

When compared to the original photo who is sitting in Jesus' seat? Looks like Locke to me.

Is Sayid or Kate in Peter's seat?

I don't know about you but I'm starting to get giddy with excitement!

Lost Recap - Some Like it Hoth

I had high expectations for last night's episode as I wasn't really fond of "Ben vs. Smokey" last week.  This week we were teased with learning more about Miles.  An enigma of sorts.  We know he can communicate with the dead but not in the way that Hurley can.  He is relatively new to the island as he came over on last seasons freighter.
Many bloggers have speculated that creepy Dr. Chang was indeed Miles dad and last night's episode confirmed that.  It was surprisingly moving to watch the grown Miles longily gaze at his father while he held the baby Miles and read him a story.
Hurley remains one of my favorite characters.  His pitter patter with Miles last night was priceless.  Especially the dialogue about Starwars and whether or not he can indeed talk to dead people.
I'm still confused about "what lies in the shadow of the statue" and I have no idea who is good and how is evil and who is somewhere in between
Oh and YEAH, Dan is BACK!
I'd love to hear your thoughts on the matter.
On a totally unrealated issue, I'm leaving tonight for a scrapbook vacation with 11 girlfriends to Virginia Beach.  It is going to be a blast.  I don't think I will get much accomplished, but I can't wait to get there and to see my sister!  Since I won't be driving, I'll be tweeting and twitting about anything interesting that happens on the 5 1/2 hour trip.
Those updates should appear on the scroll off to the left.  Feel free to tweet or twit back and come along for the ride.  It should be hugely entertaining...well probably not, but it could be.

Lost - Dead is Dead (shouldn't there be an astrisk?) *except on this island

Last night's episode didn't really answer many questions for me and I missed the Dharma gang.  I really wanted to see more about that.

We already knew Ben took Alex from Danielle.  That wasn't very enlightening.  What would have been more enlightening was someone asking Richard what moisturizer he uses since he never ages and no one seems to care.

We already knew that Ben somehow took over Charles place on the island and had him banished.  Other than seeing what that looked like we received no further answers.

I must admit that the smoke monster is a little shark jump for me.  How many of you were waiting to hear Dory from Finding Nemo say "Are you my concience?" when the black mist surrounded Ben.

Total ironic that this episode was entitle Dead is Dead, after all John Locke wasn't exactly dead and then we had a interesting visit from Alex as well.  Raise your hand if you were hoping she would kick her father's sorry ass!  Me too.

The good news:  Ben was unsuccessful in his attempt to kill Penny, or at least it appears that way.  Perhaps, Desmond is convinced that he was successful in killing Ben.

As for me, I'm hoping next week's episode is a little less "out there".

Lost - Whatever happened happened...huh?

I guess we were all right to assume that Ben wouldn't die.  Of course, I didn't see the whole "Let's take him to Richard twist".  It was a little hard for me to grasp.
Even knowning all that they know, Kate and Sawyer were like "Sure, you can take away his innocence and wipe out his memory, just make sure he lives."  It seemed a little far fetch given everything they know he does in the future.
My favorite conversation of the evening was by far the one between Miles and Hurley.  It was nice to see Miles again.  I missed him.  Hurley's comment about the movie Back to the Future was hilarious.
A close second was the conversation between Juliet and Jack (in a towel).  It wouldn't be LOST without Jack, whining about something.

We finally got our answer about what Kate did with Aaron.  Most of us had assumed that she gave him to Clair's mother and our assumptions were confirmed.
I thought Clair's mother's reaction was a little down played.  I mean if some crazy plane crash survivor came to my door in the middle of the night and said, "BTW, we are a bunch of liars and your daughter is really alive and the child I've been caring for is really your grandson," I may actually need to sit down.
Clair's mom barely reacted.
Look's like next week's episode will reveal whether or not Desmond and Penny met up with Ben before he got aboard the doomed flight.
Here's hoping Desmond is the one that messed him up and Penny and little Charlie are still alive.

OMG...the baby is ETHAN...Sun is in the future...UGH

How many of you fellow Losties, nearly dropped your wine glass when the screen flashed from dear Sun and Lapidus to our other island dwellers and said 30 years earlier! I thought I saw that wrong but then...this is LOST after all.

The other big revelation of the evening....the baby's is ETHAN OMG! I did not see that coming.

Clever how Sawyer/Jim/LeFluer got Hurley, Jack and Kate on the list; ironic how they new recruits arrived the same day as those three.

What will happen with Sayid? Has he figured out things aren't what they appear...has he figured out that it is 1977? Has he figured out that sweet, big glasses wearin' boy is THE Ben.

Even though I'm not a big fan of Sawyer and Juliet, I felt bad for her when she had to save Kate's ass during recruitment check in. How easy it would have been to leave her name off of the list and let her fend for herself. Part of me was hoping she would.

Full circle: Back to Sun and Lapidus on the beach. I couldn't get enough of her crackin' that oar over Ben's head. That was by far the best scene of the night. Again we are graced with a Christian Shepard cameo; he tells Sun that Jin is in 1977 and that she "has quite a journey on her hands."

Does this journey involve a donkey wheel....because I don't think I can handle another one of those.

Whose that baby?

Like usual, LOST was hurting my brain last night.

I didn't count, but I'm pretty sure we jumped forward three years, back three years and forward three year all within the first 10 minutes.  Was that really necessary?

Juliet and Sawyer?  This is harder for me to get my head around than the time travel.  Personally, it would be easier for me to believe she was banging Daniel.

And who is that baby?  I know someone out there knows and has this entire thing figured out, but I'm getting a nose bleed trying just thinking about it.

The last time I remember seeing Horace, he was in the jungle telling John how to find Jacob;  I think he was cutting down a tree repeatedly and he told John he had been dead for 12 years.

Also, Horace and his wife were the unlucky couple flagged down by the Linuses after giving birth in the woods.  Basically, other than immediate family, Horace was the first person to see baby Ben alive and drove his dying mother to the hospital.

Who knew he be back with even more speaking parts.

Did you notice not one of my questions from yesterday's post were answered?  If anything I have even more questions.  Anyone wondering where Rose and Bernard and the rest of the original plane crash memebers are now?  Are they part of Richard's group?  I hope not!

Will Daniel warn Charolette like she remembers him doing or will he try to change history?  Isn't he the one always preaching that if it happened it will happen.

Is everyone on the island now in the 1970s?  What about Locke and the new crew?

Where is Sun!  How do a bunch of Dharma ninnies capture Sayid (as indicated by the previews)?

Most importantly. Why. Do. I. Have. To. Wait. Two. Weeks. for. The. Next. Episode?  I'm boycotting whatever ABC puts in that time slot.

Raise your hand if LOST makes you feel a little...well...lost.

I guess the opening of last night's episode was reserved for all those people out there who just can't get enough time travel.  Was it necessary to start at the end and flash back.  I mean was that really necessary.
The show opens with Just-Jack lying on the island forest floor dressed like he's headed to a funeral and holding a small scrap of paper.  We hear Hurley hurling for help and then we see him flapping around with a guitar case in a small lagoon.  Jack Just Jumps...of course he does.  Kate is looking dead along some rocks but, of course, she isn't.
Then we flash back.  How did they get there?
Creepy Elosie Hawkings, aka Daniel's mom, aka spooky lady from Desmond's past, obviously has something to do with it.  It turns out she has her very own Dharma lab.  How conveeeeeennnnniiiieeeet????
This Dharma lab doesn't have a button to push, or a creepy video to watch...it has a giant mofo pendulum, which apparently can pin-point the island location and print out an list of suggested flights.  Seriously, what was that all about.
Creepy Spooky Hawkings (CSH) give Just-Jack, crazy John Locke's suicide note.  Of course, being the shows marytr has it's downside...poor Jack must immediate act like he cares that John killed himself and assume the "It must be my fault" face.
He just can't bring himself to read the note.  Really?  I mean let me get this straight Jack...you are in yet another Dharma station, listening to Benry and CSH, you are considering going on a plane you are assuming will crash, you plan to bring along all your friends on said doomed plane and you are going to dress up a dead guy in your dad's old clothes...what about the note is too weird for you?
Desmond has had enough of CSH, no one knows if Sun is going to run back to Korea or head to Quam, Kate hates everyone, and just for fun we get to meet Just-Jack's grand-dad.  Do you think the writers were like...how is Jack going to get his dad's clothes three years after his death.  I know...let's send him to his grand-dad's nursing home and have him find some shoes.  Hey, it's just as believeable as the pendulum finding airplane flight...right?
Everyone, save Aaron, turns up at the airport.  Anyone want to venture a guess what Kate did with him?  Jack made the mistake of asking and it almost cost him some hot sex.  Do you think he's in her luggage?  I doubt Kate's mom is babysitting.  Maybe she gave him to Claire's mom...his real granny.  That would be so adult of her....so I doubt it.
Turns out Frank Lapidus isn't in the bottle anymore and has returned to flying the big planes.  He is, of course, the pilot of the pendulum found aircraft.   Jack reads the note and all it says is "I wish you had believed."  Thanks, John.  As always, you are so helpful.
We don't know if Lapidus or Locke has returned to the island as all we see are some shakes, some flight attendents flinging about and then poof.  Everyone is on the island...or are they?
We only see Hurley, Jack and Kate.  Where is Sun?  Where is Sayid?  Why was he a prisoner?  Was he pretending to be Kate this flight?
Since Sun is nowhere to be found, it's somewhat anti-climatic when the Dharma van pulls up and and out pops uniformed sporting, rifle yielding, Jin.  I can't wait to hear what he has to say.
Next week:  How many times did John try to kill himself before he was successful?  We here what happened to Locke when he left the island.  Looks like we have at least 14 days before we return to the island.

LOST returns tonight

I don't know about you all, but I'm so excited about the return of LOST tonight at 8 p.m. that I feel a little giddy.

Are they really going back to the island?  Why?  How will they find it now that Locke has moved it?  Is Sun going with her baby?

I'm sure that after tonight's episode I'll have more questions than answers.  If you are a LOST junkie than you need to bookmark this website.  He provides the funniest most indepth recaps ever!  I totally look forward to reading them almost as much as watching the actual episode.

What I'd like to know is are you as addicted as I am?  Or do you detest this show as much as my husband does?  He thinks the writers don't really have a plot and are just randomly writing whatever they want.
