1. Chili is not a popular lunch item: Peanut butter and Jelly as an alternate nearly beat out the 67 chili's we served today.
2. The longer you work there the less you find any child "cute". The janitor and the head cook are fine examples of this. Every kid knows how to push their buttons, as do I. (insert evil laugh here.)
3. If offered, kids will take an apple just to throw it away: I'm not sure why but we grind up a lot of yummy looking-not-a-bite-taken-out-of-them apples every day in the garbage disposal.
4. You can cut 50 oranges in less than 30 minutes. Putting two slices of each of those oranges into 100 tiny little annoying bags takes much longer.
5. I hate cutting tomatoes. In fact, I hate everything about tomatoes.

My weekend just flew by! How was yours?

I got quite a bit accomplished but still feel overwhelmed. Why is that?

On Friday, I made the 18 Thanksgiving cards for my mom's friend that I posted. I'm still working on the rest of the wreaths. I'll post pictures of those later this week.

Saturday we had a soccer game again. We lost. The girls played well, though. It was 1-1 till the 4th quarter and then it fell apart.

Next week is our last game and it is during my craft show so I won't be able to attend. However, all three of my kids want to play indoor soccer which I'm not really sure I'm all that excited about. Looks like soccer is going to last FOREVER this year.

Trying to get caught up on some housework, but it's sort of like chasing my tail.

Help! I'm trapped in my craft room and I've made such a mess of the place that I can't find my way out! Only three more wreaths to go until I've made a dozen. There are cards drying all over the place. Stickles are setting, google eyes are drying. It's quite the scene.




Here are some of the completed and almost completed items.

While things have improved, I still have my troubles. Here what I think the problem stems from:

1. Snoring: My husband still occasionally snores. It's better since he got a specially designed night guard, but occasionally the bear returns.
2. Too much on my mind: craft show, my mom's friend needing Thanksgiving cards, my daughter needing some pants that fit....blah, blah, blah.
3. Holidays. Is it really almost time to Christmas shop. Say it isn't so??!!??
4. Thanksgiving: Have it here? Go somewhere?
5. Work: I'm trying to write more than just briefs about school board meetings. Since starting as a lunch lady this writing has falling aside. It makes me sad.
6. Play: Sometime I just want to blog and ignore everything and everyone else--even if it's late and I should be in bed
7. H1N1 and other funk: Now that I'm in the elementary school everyday and I realize just how many germs are walking around and having lunch with my kids, I'm more concerned than ever about the slightest little virus. I blame the media...oh wait I am the media. Never mind.
8. My dog: I think he's depressed, though it's hard to tell since beagles always look depressed.
9. My nephew: My sister's insurance company is denying him glucose strips until mid December. Why? He's used his allotment. Even if your 8 your only allowed to have so many. Ridiculous.
10. Money: Why do so many miscellaneous expenses creep up just in time for the holidays.

I'm sure once I get all of this off of my mind, I will sleep like a baby until then I highly recommend Tylenol Simple Sleep.

I'm trying to get ready for a craft show. I really don't know why. I never sell much of anything and should probably not waste a whole Saturday trying to but it was for my church and the clincher was they were providing the table and I didn't have too.

I'll show you some of the things I made on Friday. The show is not till next Saturday, but I feel like I have nothing done yet.
