Writer's Workshop: If you give a mom a moment...
- If you give a mom a moment she may actually get a shower;
- If she's gonna get a shower, she'll probably want a clean towel;
If she looks for a clean towel, she'll probably realize that she needs to do laundry;
If she is going to do laundry she'll probably want to get it all out of the way before she takes a shower,
If she is gonna collect the dirty laundry, she'll probably want to wash the sheets;
If she changes the sheets, she'll probably open the linen closet to find clean sheets;
If she opens the linen closet, she'll most likely get covered head to toe in a mound of mismatched pillow cases and rolled up fitted sheets;
If she looks hard enough, she may find something to put on the beds.
If she makes all the beds, she may realize that she is hungry and hasn't had breakfast.
If she goes into the kitchen to make breakfast, she may realize that she left her tea in the microwave,
If she gets her tea out of the microwave she may forget why she came into the kitchen in the first place;
If she hears the dryer buzz, she'll probably get the laundry out and think "Why didn't I wash the towels first?"
If she folds all the laundry, shell think I guess I should put this away;
If she carries all the laundry upstairs she'll think, "When is the last time I ran the vacuum?"
If she decides to run the vacuum, she will spend the next 20 minutes looking for it and the next 49 minutes pushing it around.
If she spends all that time vacuuming, she'll probably realize that she missed hearing the dryer buzz;
If she gets the laundry out of the machine and decides to fold it in the living room, she'll probably realize that it's time to walk to the bus stop;
If she gets the kids off the bus and walks them home they will probably ask what she did today;
If she's honest she'll say, "I tried to take a shower."

LOL! Yes, yes, and yes!! So true!!
That's why I just take a shower at 11pm. I wont be able to start anything new at that point, just think of what I have to do the next day ;o)
Nicely done! It's so funny how many of these involve laundry. Will it EVER get all done/!
This is so good! Now you reminded me to check the dryer :)
-->Great list!

Perfect. Absolutely perfect!
Laundry seems to be on your hit list big time. I kinda like doing the laundry because I can throw a load in and then do something else and when I pass the laundry room again I can move from washer to drier and put in the next batch. Likewise I take what is dried back to put away. Works real well for me having the washer/dryer at the far end of the house. {*grin*}
Of course my wife doesn't care for my "they said it i colorfast, so throw it in" philosophy of color sorting.
i love it. entirely too true!!!
Ha, as usual, you hit the nail right on the head with your witty observations, how's the book going?

Just perfect!!! Great post and so true:)
Yep, that's a mom. Only a mom could empty the dishwasher and end up in 6 rooms while doing it.
I LOVED this!!!! How did you describe my day so perfectly? And I wish we could have that illustrator who does these kid's books illustrate yours! I was imagining it in my head!
Hilarious! Loved it. So very true.
Whatever happened to the quiet showerings? Love this!
If that isn't the truth then I don't know what is!
Ha ha! So true:)
