Made by MEL Monday
I'm trying to post some Christmas Crafts this month and a coworker graciously offered to do a guest post.
According to her, this is one simple craft. She is doing it with her entire class and the example features her own son's pic.
Basically, you need a plastic ornament, a picture mounted on some holiday paper and some of that fake crystal snow or glitter. Pour some snow in, plop the picture in and ta da...
What did you make this weekend?
Made by me Monday: is it gonna snow??
Here's what I made...
Total cost $3.00
I'm also sharing this card that I made for a friend. The nuts are from the create a critter cricut cartridge.
The inside. It still makes me laugh.
Happy Monday

Sadly nothing.
I'm having crafting withdrawl.
I stop by all your blogs and see all your fantastic creations and I think, "What have I been doing with all my time?"
And then I remember...
I started working full time.
I decided to continue to be the PTO president (a blog post in and of itself).
I'm still the yearbook chair of the elementary.
I am still, for now, covering three school districts and one township for the newspaper. Starting next month I'm going to have to cut some of these.
My kid is playing soccer every weekend and therefore has to practice twice a week.
My son is in boy scouts and is selling popcorn and getting ready for his big Halloween parade.
My kids are taking musical instrument lessons.
I'm hosting book club this month.
Maybe I'll get some crafting done next week....
Hump Day Craft post: a thank you
Sharing with you a simple card I made to thank some coworkers for their thoughfulness.
I don't remember who makes the turtle stamp, but I just love him. The green cardstock is embossed with the dots cuttlebug folder. Ribbon is from Michaels. He was colored with copic markers.
Thanks for stopping by.
Made by Me Monday: first grade bulletin board idea
I am skippin' along with Lou today and posting some items I have cut for one of the first grade teachers in our building.
These sweet little cows are from the create a critter cartridge for the cricut and they are cut at 4 inches. The barns are cut at 4 1/2 inches and the grass strip is 1 1/4 inch by 8 1/2 inches.
The words, which are not pictured, are also at 4 inches and say "First Grade is Something To Moooooooo about."
Hump Day Craft Post: a few scrapbook pages
Hump Day Craft Post Hump: The Craft Room Redo
I can honestly say that I am happy that the desk is gone but I would be lying to you if I said that I knew where the googly eyes are. I can tell you that I am working on it.
This is my newest addition. I bought it, along with the drawers, at Target. I really like that it goes with my current color scheme. As you can see, I still have stuff on the floor that I need to go through.
I am working diligently in attempting to organize my paper and have come to the conclusion that I am a paper whore. I mean I have 15 different shade of red. What? Really? Yep. It's bad. So bad that I may need to join a support group and attempt to not buy a single sheet until January 1st.
January 1, 2014.
Hump Day Craft Post: a birthday invitation
This is the birthday invitation I made for Middle G's 10th birthday party. She wanted to have a tie dye theme. I had a lot of trouble finding tie dye paper, so I made the paper by photocopying one of the birthday napkins. I think it turned out great and would use that method again in the future.
The turtle is from the Best of Pixar cricut cart. For obvious reasons, I am a little partial to Squirt. Middle G loved the saying and told everyone, even random strangers, what her birthday invites said.
Thanks for stopping by. Leave a comment and let me know what you think. If you are posting a craft today, I'd love to come over and see it.
