One week of summer remains

I have mixed feelings about the fact that in 7 short days school resumes. Part of me is ready to send my kids back but the other part of me needs a few more days at the pool...alone.

But alas, time marches on and before we know it fall will be blowing in.

Here's a look at what we did this summer.
JUNE

Middle G turned 10

We had fun at camp

Little G became a pirate

JULY

We celebrated my birthday

We went to a beautiful wedding in Florida

We spent a lot of time swimming

AUGUST

We spent a rainy but fun day at the ALS walk

We got Hershey Park happy

These are just a few of the highlights.

We also had some great fun at multiple birthday parties. I managed to read nearly six books (which is a world record for me). We saw out of state family, we hung out with friends, we had a killer "oh crap summer is half over" party, we had a handful of backyard fires, we went to moonlight swim, and we saw Harry Potter at midnight.

The girls went to church camp and the boy went to boy scout camp.

I had a great time at book club and even manage to see Horrible Bosses and Bridesmaids with some great friends!

All in all summer has been a huge success!

Bring on the tator tots!

Sounds like you did a lot of wonderful things to satisfy everyone in your family. A visit to Hershey Park....a little like Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory or is that just my imagination? Ha!

Sounds like a great summer to me. I don't have kids going back to school, but if I did it wouldn't be until after Labor Day. I've had a pretty fun summer and still looking forward to some more great days.
