Weekend Update: Last T-ball Game, outdoor family fun

T-ball went out on a HOT note. Yesterday's game was a warm one, but it was a lot of fun. The Coach handed out trophies at the end and the boys were all smiles. Here's little G on first base. He had two hits and used the T once. I was really proud of how well he did this year.

Our library has a wonderful summer program that includes a sort of scavenger hunt. There are 30 rubbings hidden at various parks throughout the county. We takled the hardest one over the weekend. It was nearly a 3 mile hike and surprisingly the kids, and the dog, did very well.
Some of you have asked what the rubbings are. The theme this year is water. So the rubbing that we got over the weekend was a storm cloud with a lightning bolt. The best way I can describe the rubbings is that they are sort of like fashion plates.
Do you remember them?
You put a piece of paper over them and then rubbed them with a crayon and bam there was the picture.
There are 30 posts with water theme related fashion plates hidden throughout the county. Hubby and I really enjoy participating in this program. Probably even more so than the kids.
What did you do this weekend?

Let's hear it for T-ball season finishing. Now Little G can get down to the serious part of summer fun - goofing off.
