The great underwear debate

Dear underwear designers,

What are you thinking???

I was looking for some new underwear for my 11 year old and let me just tell I AM NOT IMPRESSED?

What are your design meeting like?

Do you sit around and just think of Disney cartoons you can sell out too? What is wrong with (gasp) plain old white? Striped? Polka dots??

Let's just go over a few things that are inappropriate.

Hello Kitty.

Simply inappropriate. Especially if you put the words Hello Kitty on there anywhere. If your kid is older than 5 they shouldn't have kitties on their undies.

Lightsabers!!!

Just plain old lightsabers??? I mean why not weiner dogs, hot dogs and sausages???

These are children's underwear???

Can't we just go back to plaid? Heck, I'd settle for a solid color. I mean why do they have designs at age 11 anyway? It's not like my child is refusing to wear they have One Direction on them.

How about some simply polka dots???

What say you?

An open letter to a few things that are annoying me

Dear Target,

You used to be my salvation. You used to be a good reason not to go to Wal-Mart. Not anymore. Your pharmacy SUCKS. The pharmacist was rude. She wouldn't give me a bag. She was too busy to look at me to see I had a puking child. I had to get my own bag.

Me (holding bag of vomit) "Where would you like me to put this?" (though I had a few ideas where I'd like to put it)

Pharmacist making about $110,000 a year: "um...in the bathroom?"

Me: "sounds like you don't clean the bathroom...um are there any other options?"

Some sweet teen employee called the manager and he said he'd come over and fetch it, but it was taking him a long while. Finally the pharacist assistant who probably makes $9 an hour comes over and double bags my kid's vomit so we can leave.

Assistant: "Feeling bad for you guys. I will wait for the manager."

Hey Pharmacist...that's how you treat people. From sick people to the people that clean the bathroom, treat others the way you would like to be treated.

Dear virus that is trying to kill Thanksgiving,

You were not invited here and you have over stayed your welcome. Get out!

You gave Little G a cough, which turned into pnemonia, which turned into an ear infection which led to a ruptured ear drum. Don't let me forget about the 24 hours of vomitting.

Both girls are coughing. I am pretending not too cough but am definately loosing my voice. Hubby has a sinus infection and we all know how well men do when they are sick. Don't deny it--you all know it is true.

We are supposed to be getting ready to travel to my sisters for Thanksgiving.

You have 12 hours to get your ugly green microscopic ass out of my house. I have Lysol and I've been using it!

Weekend update: What did you accomplish?

Hip, Hip, Hooray! My son's invitation are finally done! I was really procrastinating on these. The party is on the 17th! If I want anyone to come, I really need to distribute them.
I also managed to grocery shop and go to target and get some laundry done. I even went to Michael's and spent less than $25 to get ready for my scrapbook weekend. This probably means that I already have too much stuff. LOL
Soccer was foggy, but not as cold as last week. The Catholic team was unsportsmanlike. That's all I'm going to say about that. Infer what you want to infer from that comment.
I have to share what happened at swim lessons with you as I was complete infuriated and nearly killed that slow talking bitch of a teacher.
Usually the kids swim from the shallow end to the deep end and then back to the shallow end with the teacher along side of them. This allows for them to remain in the shallow end and return to the shallow end.
For some unknown reason Slow talking bitch decided to tell them to stay in the deep end while she went all the way back to the shallow end to get the next swimmer. My son misunderstood and started to swim back to the shallow end. The teacher was no where near him.
He is in level three. He can swim somewhat, but he still panics very easily. He is now about 10 feet from the back wall and 30 feet from his teacher who is already in the shallow end oblivious to the fact that he is treading water in 12 foot.
I yell from the balcony to him and tell him to swim to the side. He can't. He is in a full panic. As you know, I have a serious fear of my kids drowning. I'm about to jump off the balcony. I yell to the other instructor who is in the deed end on the other side of the pool and thankfully she swims over to him and puts him on the side.
He was close to tears but I'm proud to say that he got back in the water.
Slow talking bitch never once asked if he was okay. Never once showed any emotion about the entire incident.
After the class I went up to her and asked her if she was aware of what happened as she was oblivious to everything and was in the shallow end and she said, "He didn't listen to the directions."
WTF! He didn't listen to the directions.
Oh, I must not have read the small print where it says you can let him drown if he doesn't follow the directions.
I have a call into her boss and my little man will no longer be swimming her Slow talkers class.
