MEME Monday...In case you don't have anything else more interesting to read
I'm playing along with The Scattered Mind of a Tatooed Minivan Mom who has Mr. Linky up and is collecting Meme's this lovely Monday. Wanna play...what's stoppin' ya?
- Were you named after anyone? Yes, my mom is named Kisa-Prince and my dad's name is Kisa-Frog.
- Do you like you handwriting? What's a stupid question...I'm typing.
- What is your favorite lunch meat? Provolone. I don't like meat.
- Do you have kids? Do you read this blog? Yes. I have 3 kids. Kisa-tulip; kisa-daisy; and Kisa-tornado
- If you were another person would you be friends with you? Whoever came up with this question needs counciling. Of course, not. I wouldn't even know me.
- Do you use sarcasm? No NEVER...It is against my religion, my inner self, and my hormonal calendar.
- Do you still have your tonsils? Unfotunately, they have yet to heed their eviction notice. I'm thinking about filing criminal charges against them. Mostly for annoyance and frequent infection.
- Would you bungee jump? Not unless someone pushed me, I was drunk or all my friends did it.
- What is your favorite cereal? My favorite cereal is probably...Lucky Charms because of it's nutritional value. It has 10 esential vitamins and minerals. It says so on the box.
- DO YOU UNTIE YOUR SHOES WHEN YOU TAKE THEM OFF? Mine don't even have laces
- If you were a crayon, what color would you be? Turtle Shell Green; If they don't make this shade they really ought too..
- How did you meet your spouse? It's very romantic...Too bad I don't have theme music. Picture this...My
dorkyhot 16 year old ass working a cash regisiter at Burger King; hisskinnyripped arms prowling the broiler making hamburger. Then our eyes meet. It was love at first sight. Hardly. My boyfriend wouldn't take me to the prom and his girlfriend was stupid enough to let him go with me. We've been together, pretty much ever since. More than half my life....

Weekend Update -- Why Hancock is worth your time
I'm so happy to report that I ate like a regular person today...well actually like a really hungry person today and that I finally feel more like myself. Can all my bloggy friends remind me to get a flu shot next year? I'd much appreciate it, as I'm sure this recent bout will be far from my memory and I will think of some reason not to get a shot.
As for my pathetic list of what I'd like to accomplish this week, I did well.
As for Hancock, the movie, at first I thought I wouldn't like it, but then it surprised me. There were some really great "one-liners". It had great special effects and a somewhat moving storyline. It's definately a movie you can watch with hubby and he will like it just as much as you.
And as for what part I needed to order for my Hi Ho Cherrios game...you were all correct. Those bloody cheeries. We just can't seem to keep them in the box. I find them everywhere and to be completely honest with you I'm not sure I want to order them.
To make it worth my time, I'm also ordering new body parts for Mr. Operation, marbles for those very hungry hippos, and money for Disney Princess Monopoly. Thanks for making it so easy, Hasbro.

- I MAILED my daughter's birthday invites! Can I get a hip hip hooray? This is what they say on the inside. WARNING: You will probably only understand it if you have some knowledge of Harry Potter;

I made a few new Valentine's with the stamps I received in a RAK this week from Enfys; These little heart shapes are just so cute. I love the way they turned out and that they were so simple!
I had so much fun making these that I decided to make a few LOVE BUG ones too. This is a stamp from Peachykeen Stamps and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up.
And because I needed a belated birthday card for my step-mom, I decided to make this one. The stamp is a $1.00 Studio G stamp from A.C. Moore that I bought for Easter cards. LOL

Friday High Five - what I'd like to accomplish
Angela is hosting Friday High Five and sent me an email and asked me to play along. Since I've been making a what I'd like to accomplish list on Fridays since the start of 2009 it really didn't seem like that hard of a request.
If you'd like to play along. Angela has Mr. Linky up on her site. Leave me a comment and let me know your in.

What I'd like to accomplish this weekend:
- mail my daughter's birthday invitations
- make some cards with my new stamps (Thanks, Enfys)
- Watch the movie Hancock that I've had from Netflix for three weeks. I either need to watch it or mail it back.
- Order some replacement parts for our Hi Ho Cherrio game. Can you guess what is missing?
- Get completely over this ugly flu.

Ode to the Gods of Laundry
Your task is neverending with my family of five
Today I have the flu and barely feel alive
Like our friend the tooth fairy
Could you please spare, Laundry Larry?
If he could stop by and do a load or two
My day would surely brighten a degree or two
If he looked like Sawyer, LOST I would no longer be
Perhaps he could sit in the sand and read to me.
Oh, laundry Gods, if you were real
I'd also ask you to make my family a meal.
But alas this fantasy, is not truly meant to be
for when I feel better loads will be waiting there for me.
This was part of Mama Kat's writer's assigment. A link to her blog is off to the left.

Random things I learned this week
First and foremost, I have the flu. UGH. I feel terrible. The worst part of having the flu and being a mom is you can't take the day off. You still have to get everyone ready, make food, round up lunch, figure out a way to get your son to and from preschool that doesn't involve moving from the couch.
I went back to sleep while he was at school. I stil don't feel better. I caled off work. I still don't feel better. I had two freezepops to eat all day. I still don't feel better. I took pepto bismol...I still don't feel better.
My daughter's have a half day of school today. They will be home shortly. Maybe one of them will get me some tylenol. I really don't want to get off of the couch.
That is how terrible I feel.
As for things I learned this week, they are as follows:

- Getting a flu shot may actually be a good idea;
- Traveling round trip 6 hours; so you can be at your grandfather's viewing all in one day is totally worth it. Even when you know you are starting to feel sick.
- Friends are always there when you need them; whether it's to watch your dog when they already have two of their own or to drive your son to and from preschool so you can take a nap;
- No matter how bad you feel, someone out there probably feels worse. Count your blessings.
- My dog is good company when I don't feel well and I'm all alone.
What did you learn this week?

One of those days
I felt a little blah today. I didn't get much accomplished. I really just wanted to go back to bed. Ever have one of those days?
Tomorrow we will travel 3 hours one way for my grandfather's viewing. At this point we plan on attending the viewing and returning home. It is challenging to make last minute travel plans, work plans and dog-sitter plans, but I think we have all of our ducks in a row.
Since I accomplished very little today I will post these two pictures of the Valentines I made. They are both designs from the Wild Card Cartridge. I only made one envelop. I really like the new K&Company valentine paper pack. It is doublesided and works out really nice for these cards.

My Grandfather
My uncle, me and my grandfather
Shortly after 8 p.m. on February 2, 2009 my grandfather passed away. My grandmother and grandfather were married for over 60 years. They raised five children together. In 2005, they buried a daughter who lost her battle with ALS. Together they have 9 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
A few days before my grandparents were to be married, they were in a serious car accident. Their wedding almost didn't happen. Their family almost didn't happen. My grandma has her faced bandaged in her wedding pictures.
My grandfather served in World War II alongside all of his brothers.
All five of them returned home alive.
They each have a purple heart.
Please pray for my grandmother for I fear she may not be able to live without him.
