Weekend Update -- Why Hancock is worth your time

I'm so happy to report that I ate like a regular person today...well actually like a really hungry person today and that I finally feel more like myself.  Can all my bloggy friends remind me to get a flu shot next year?  I'd much appreciate it, as I'm sure this recent bout will be far from my memory and I will think of some reason not to get a shot.

As for my pathetic list of what I'd like to accomplish this week, I did well.

  • I MAILED my daughter's birthday invites!  Can I get a hip hip hooray?  This is what they say on the inside.   WARNING:  You will probably only understand it if you have some knowledge of Harry Potter;

  • I made a few new Valentine's with the stamps I received in a RAK this week from Enfys; These little heart shapes are just so cute.  I love the way they turned out and that they were so simple!

I had so much fun making these that I decided to make a few LOVE BUG ones too.  This is a stamp from Peachykeen Stamps and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up.
And because I needed a belated birthday card for my step-mom, I decided to make this one.  The stamp is a $1.00 Studio G stamp from A.C. Moore that I bought for Easter cards.  LOL

As for Hancock, the movie, at first I thought I wouldn't like it, but then it surprised me.  There were some really great "one-liners".  It had great special effects and a somewhat moving storyline.  It's definately a movie you can watch with hubby and he will like it just as much as you.

And as for what part I needed to order for my Hi Ho Cherrios game...you were all correct.  Those bloody cheeries.  We just can't seem to keep them in the box.  I find them everywhere and to be completely honest with you I'm not sure I want to order them.

To make it worth my time, I'm also ordering new body parts for Mr. Operation, marbles for those very hungry hippos, and money for Disney Princess Monopoly.  Thanks for making it so easy, Hasbro.

One of those days

I felt a little blah today.  I didn't get much accomplished.  I really just wanted to go back to bed.  Ever have one of those days?

Tomorrow we will travel 3 hours one way for my grandfather's viewing.  At this point we plan on attending the viewing and returning home.  It is challenging to make last minute travel plans, work plans and dog-sitter plans, but I think we have all of our ducks in a row.

Since I accomplished very little today I will post these two pictures of the Valentines I made.  They are both designs from the Wild Card Cartridge.  I only made one envelop.  I really like the new K&Company valentine paper pack.  It is doublesided and works out really nice for these cards.

Thanks for visiting today
