I have returned from my mental health seminar

My mental health weekend couldn't have come at a better time.

While I was enjoying some much needed alcohol and scrapbooking time, the cafeteria was realizing what it is like to run out of pizza and pudding.

I barely gave it a thought.

Especially after I opened my beer.

Yes.  It was chilly as demonstrated by my sister's "sitting on the deck" attire.  But who cares when you have a view like this from your living room.

Don't you think the ocean is really close to the house?
Almost a little tooo close.

There were actually nine of us...but D left before the photo.

Here's hoping a mental health weekend is in your not-too distant future.

Weekend Update: back from the beach

We are back from our beach trip. Reality slaps you in the face and wakes you up as soon as you get home. I have to say that I look forward to these trips so much and they are worth every penny!

They are better than therapy! Seriously.

We laughed so hard our faces hurt.

We scrapbooked. We drank.

We sang.

We sat in the sun..BY THE POOL.

We got sunburned.

It was wonderful. Refreshing. Rejuvenating.

While we were away. The hail came AGAIN! I'll post some pictures of that tomorrow.

We just had the siding replaced. The roof redone and the fence painted. This time...both our cars were out in it.

This is gonna be a blast.

Weekend update: recovering from my beach party

Yep. That's my new lunch lady action figure courtesy of the crazy 10 women I went on vacation with this weekend. Those beotches really know how to party! I think I need to sleep for another day just to recover.

Here's Becky and I down by the water. Can you tell it was a little windy? We had fairly nice weather for October. The people three houses down from us had their wedding in this wind so I suppose it could have been worse. We got to watch the whole thing unfold, though even in long sleeves and blankets we were cold.

I got 22 scrapbook pages complete. We drank, we laughed and a handful of them performed a skit for us that had us nearly peeing our pants. It involved them dressed as lunch ladies and dancing to Adam Sandlers Lunch lady.

How was your weekend?

Friday High Five: Beachin' it up

Angela's Adventures

Apparently I am the only blogger having trouble viewing Angela's website. Today I can at least read the posts, but I still can not comment on any post and now I can not see the right hand column which is where she keeps her Friday High Five button. Thus the other button. Sorry, Angela, I just can't figure out what is going on. LOL

Today for Friday High Five I am posting five of my favorite photos from my whirlwind beach trip on Wednesday. Literally, my friend Rachel and I decided to make the day trip around 9 p.m. the night before and we hit the road at 6:30 a.m. and didn't get back until midnight.

It was a lot of fun and don't regret a minute of it (except maybe when my son fell at McD's and cracked his forehead or when her son's elbow came out of place on the way home).

All the kids standing at the beach entrance. And, Yes, we took all 8 of them to dinner and they were soooo well behaved. I think everyone in the restaurant was amazed.

The mommies on the beach right before we high tailed it out of there due to the looming storm in the background.

My niece and my daughter who not only make the same facial expressions, but loved playing in the sand.

Middle G. still playing in the sand.

Little G. not afraid of the ocean at all, which terrified me. We had a wonderful time and I'm so glad we decided to go. It was worth it and I would definitely do it again.
