WW - backpacks, lunchboxes, and alarm clocks
School has officially started (at least for my girls). Little G starts Kindergarten tomorrow. Here are pics of the girls all ready to go.
Dear Oldest,
As you head back to Intermediate school remember this.
Dear Middle G;
Are you really in third grade already? Seriously? When did that happen. You have grown up so much over the summer. You've lost your little baby cheeks and you look quite mature. I think it's all those big teeth.
As you finish up your elementary adventure remember this.
Dear Oldest,
As you head back to Intermediate school remember this.
- Some friends come in our lives to stay. Some friends come for a short while. The real trick is to know when to let go.
- Bullies want a reaction from you. Try not to give them one.
- Girls mature a lot during their 5th grade year. Boys don't mature until after their 21st birthday and even then that's pushing it for some.
- You can choose to have a great day.
- No matter what happens, I will be waiting for you when you get home.
Dear Middle G;

As you finish up your elementary adventure remember this.
- You are not the only girl who loves Spiderman. That's why he is now on pink shirts.
- Sometimes other girls may say they are no longer your friend. That's just because their feelings were hurt, but they still love you.
- Math can be confusing, but try not to get frustrated. You can't learn when you are frustrated.
- Smile a lot. It makes people wonder what you are up to.
- No matter how things turn out, I will be waiting for you when you get off the bus.
Hugs to you both,
Mom

Those are such cute pictures are your advice is more than sound. :)
AWE! Great pictures and great advice for the both of them to remember! I laughed hard about the boys not maturing until after the 21st birthdays!
Ok seriously, am I a total sap or what? Your #5s totally made me tear up and you're not even talking to ME! LOL I gotta remember these. Very good job! :D
You are such a sweet and thoughtful mama! The girls look beautiful and ready for school adventures. Great advice. I think I'll borrow some of those pointers :)
You forgot one piece of advice - enjoy the experience of learning, it makes up for a multitude of other issues.
Enjoy the stories of new happenings they'll be bringing home each day. The oldest is reaching that age where less information will be spilling forth - are you ready for that?
Most excellent advice for your girls ... and what a wonderful reassurance from a great mom!
