Happy Memorial Day!

What a beautiful day it was here in Pennsylvania. We had a picnic with family and cooked out on the grill. It was great being outside after all of the rain we had this month. My hope is that you all had equally beautiful weather and were able to visit with family and friends. I thought I would post a picture from earlier this month. These are my kids with my "mother's day tree". It is quite a story, this little maple. It grew up between some driveway cracks when we lived in Ohio. My kids planted it for me for Mother's Day and it looked like it might not survive. All of a five inch stick it was at that time. When we moved it wasn't much bigger, but I couldn't take it with me. It was January and impossible to dig it up. That spring friends came to visit and they brought the little tree with them. I couldn't believe it. I hope you have a friend that would walk up to your old house and ask to dig up a tree for you LOL We planted it here in PA and it is thriving. Three years later and now bigger than my 9 year old. I love that silly tree. I take the kids picture with it every mother's day. It's good to have traditions. What are some of yours?
