About to get LOST
Yeah! 10 minutes till LOST comes on. I'm more addicted to this show than ever. Anyone else can't get enough. I have to admit though that the flash forwards aren't really answering many of my questions. Just making even more. I'm off to make a cup of tea and grap a blanket. TTFN
Oink, Oink...it's your birthday
My aunt who collects pigs and thinks they are all cute is turning 50 next week. (shhhh...don't tell her I told you.) Anywho, I decided to make her a pig card. It says..."Here's hopin' your birthday is a snortin' good time." It is mostly cut using George, but the tail is the number 6 on the celebration cart. I was thinking of a plethora of sayings you could put inside including... PIG OUT on your birthday...Best birthday yet, you can bank on it ('cause it kind of looks like a piggy bank)...Oink Oink...that's pig for happy birthday. Thanks for looking the file is on the right if you want to cut your own. Post a comment if you think of some more funny sayings.

Is that a snowman with a rectangle coming out of his head or a Guitar?
Loribrat1 from the cricut messageboard asked if I could post a picture of the guitar invitations I made from Design Studio. My daughter picked the papers she liked. They are from the DCWV Retro Stack. So here are the pictures. We used the snowman noses as guitar picks. LOL You need George and Doodlecharms to cut this. The file has three mats. One is the guitars, the other is the shadow, and the final mat is just a few snowman bodies to use as the back. That is what I put all the birthday information on. "You're Invited" is a studio G stamp. TFL

Thank You, Susanbluerobot!
After reading Susan's post on how to copy a shape. I managed to make this tractor from the My World Cart using only George. YEAH. I realize that it's not all that complicated, but I'm really proud of it. The cut file is posted.
What a great teacher she is! Check out her wonderful creations at http://susanbluerobot.blogspot.com/
Cake pictures...which my daughter decorated
Here are photos of our guitar cake and Big G doing the decorating. I think she is really starting to get the hang of it. She was really proud of the cake and had a lot of fun making it. Too bad no one got to see it as she was too sick to party. We are going to make another one later this week and try to have the party on Saturday.

NO Hannah party at my house...bummer
Well, it's official. I had to cancel the Hannah Montana Birthday party. I think we will have a piece of the guitar cake with our lunch.
The girls are just too sick and while Little G would probably love something to do, I suppose the birthday girl should have fun. Since Middle G is going on her sixth day with fever I'm off to the doctors with her this afternoon.
Is it wrong to pray for a sinus infection? Something that they can give her to make her feel better faster? I suppose it is the flu, but once you have it can you do anything to get rid of it faster.
Per a request from my dear friend Jenny, I will post of pic of the guitar cake later. Big G helped make it and she was tickled with that. I guess we can make an even more creative one next week.
Peace.

Germs, Germs go away, don't come back another day
I am so tired of having kids who feel like blah. My daughter is supposed to have a birthday party tomorrow. She has been soo looking forward to it and all three of them have been fighting this high fever/cold/cough thing that won't seem to vacate my family.
I've become the hand washing nazi and all day long all I say is "cover your mouth when you cough". Ugh.
Thinking positively we made a guitar cake today...but as I listen to her coughing right now I'm feeling things are looking bleak. Maybe we can move it to Sunday and still have people show up...
Repeat after me...germs germs go away...don't come back another day!

Trying to start this again...
Okay...skipping back to last May I thought I would give blogging a try. I'm still not sure I'm committed, but I'm going to make a better effort.
I mostly enjoy crafting and this seems like a nice way to share with others. Once I learn how to post some items to this site I should be ready to rock and roll.
Today was a blah kind of day. My kids are sick...AGAIN and everyone is very whinny around here. Hopefully brighter days are ahead. I think we have had our fair share of the flu.
