Weekend Update -- Why Hancock is worth your time

I'm so happy to report that I ate like a regular person today...well actually like a really hungry person today and that I finally feel more like myself.  Can all my bloggy friends remind me to get a flu shot next year?  I'd much appreciate it, as I'm sure this recent bout will be far from my memory and I will think of some reason not to get a shot.

As for my pathetic list of what I'd like to accomplish this week, I did well.

  • I MAILED my daughter's birthday invites!  Can I get a hip hip hooray?  This is what they say on the inside.   WARNING:  You will probably only understand it if you have some knowledge of Harry Potter;
HOGWARTS SCHOOL
OF WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDRY
Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore
(Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorc., Chf. Warlock, Supreme Mugwump, International confed. of Wizards)
We are pleased to inform you that you are invited to ____________’s 10th birthday party, a Very Magical Sleepover! Featuring a craft, numerous edible items from herbology and movies featuring yours truly as well as some notable others.
The party will be at her muggle home, _______________________, PA. It will take place on Friday, February 20th beginning at 6:30 p.m. and ending at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Please bring your sleeping bag, pillow, pjs, toiletries, and any other muggle items you may need.
We await your owl by no later than February 17th (or you can call ___’s mom, at XXXXXXXX).
Yours Sincerely,
Minerva Mc Gonagall,
Deputy Headmistress

  • I made a few new Valentine's with the stamps I received in a RAK this week from Enfys; These little heart shapes are just so cute.  I love the way they turned out and that they were so simple!

I had so much fun making these that I decided to make a few LOVE BUG ones too.  This is a stamp from Peachykeen Stamps and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up.
And because I needed a belated birthday card for my step-mom, I decided to make this one.  The stamp is a $1.00 Studio G stamp from A.C. Moore that I bought for Easter cards.  LOL

As for Hancock, the movie, at first I thought I wouldn't like it, but then it surprised me.  There were some really great "one-liners".  It had great special effects and a somewhat moving storyline.  It's definately a movie you can watch with hubby and he will like it just as much as you.

And as for what part I needed to order for my Hi Ho Cherrios game...you were all correct.  Those bloody cheeries.  We just can't seem to keep them in the box.  I find them everywhere and to be completely honest with you I'm not sure I want to order them.

To make it worth my time, I'm also ordering new body parts for Mr. Operation, marbles for those very hungry hippos, and money for Disney Princess Monopoly.  Thanks for making it so easy, Hasbro.
