Weekend Update: Birthday parties and rainy T-ball

After a disastrous first attempt that stuck to the pan so pathetically, I made this version after a few Coronas. I think this may be my new tradition. Drink a few Coronas and then attempt to make the cake.

I was happy with how it turned out. So was Middle G.

Here are the three musketeers. Middle G is on the left. The other two girls are her best friends.

Here she is blowing out the candles. We had a beautiful day, with no rain and everyone who said they were coming came. It was a lot of fun and best of all we didn't get a ton of useless items which is always a fear when it comes to birthday parties.

Here are some more pictures of the girls just hanging out. It was harder to get the boys to slow down and stop chasing the girls to get their pictures. LOL However, the girls were MUCH louder than the boys.
My in-laws were all at the party. My mom had to work and my dad had a golf obligation. He and his wife came out on Sunday and we spent the day with them and went to Little Gs T-ball game. It promptly started raining just as the first pitch was released. By the time our boys batted and the other team batted it was a swamp and we were all drenched little rats.
The best part....as soon as we packed it all in the rain stopped.
Proof that God has a sense of humor.
What did you do this weekend?

Ooo, I need that monkey cake recipe, that looks awesome! Pizy loves monkeys and cows, I know, odd combo. His birthday is next week.
