First, I'd like to thank the Academy....

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for coming out tonight and wearing all your favorite designers.

It's great to have this opportunity to thank all of you for your love and support. Turns out (insert small squeal) people are actually reading this blog!

One of my new favorite bloggers is Pish Posh a brutally honest teacher who makes me laugh.

She recently gave me the Liebster award and called me thoughtful and creative and one of the funniest lunch ladies she knows.

I love just about everything Pish writes. She is open, honest and refreshing. Sometimes we tend to be guarded and unwilling to share our actually opinions for fear they might offend. Pish Posh doesn't apologize for her opinion and I like that about her.

Some of my favorite posts from her include this letter to her students about the things she cannot say and this one about homeschooling.

As part of the award I'm supposed to spread the love like jelly on warm toast to five of my favorite bloggers.

W&W with Wendy a former co-worker of mine sharing her life's adventures. She always gives me lots to ponder.

Long Toes an eclectic bunch of goodies. The name alone makes you wanna look.

Mitchell is Moving amazing photos of a grand adventure!

Kim at Yep, they're all mine a non mom blogger who keeps things real

let me start by saying that you should also be reading this blog. If not, how will you know the dangers of Max and Ruby?

Thanks again for the shout out Pish! Really appreciate it!

It's official....I'm the winner

Yesterday it became official. I won the Parent of the Year award. I know, I know, you are jealous. You can't believe that I won.

Maybe you were also in the running, but it is clear, based on this awesome graphic, that I am the winner.

Here are a few reasons why the judges clearly had no other choice but yours truly.

~Yesterday Oldest G told me she hated me before 9 a.m. This, in and of itself, is a record.

~All of my kids were bored before 8:30 a.m.

~I took the kids to the pool and they were still bored.

~Little G. jumped in, swam for 10, minutes and returned to my chair crying like someone whacked him with a wet noodle.

~His ear hurt.

~I figured he had water in it. It seemed like a logically conclusion.

~After having him lay on a blanket, shake like a dog and tug on his ear, it didn't get better.

~Oldest, Little G and I left the pool. Middle G. stayed there with a friend.

~We went to the store and bought some Swim Ear. It didn't help.

~I called the doctor. Took him in at 3:45 and found out that he had a raging ear infection. "Sticking his head in water was probably very painful," said by the doctor while she was trying to ascertain if I was slow.

Is "He was bored" a good excuse for this? In my defense he never had a fever and barely had any cold symptoms.

Mom's Night Out, Lemon Drops, and a new award

Last night I got in late from MNO and didn't have time to post. I'm trying to organize a once a month event with some of the mom's in my neighborhood as well as our close friends. Last night 7 of us went to Chili's for drinks and food. It was really fun.

I had me one of these Sunrise Margarita's and two Lemon Drop shots. The Mushroom Jack Fajita wasn't bad either, but I found the bill a little pricey. I think I could have bought all the ingredients to make said drinks for a lot less.

Earlier this week Michelle at BCR8IV gave me a new award. I think it is really nice to be acknowledged by a fellow blogger and Michelle is one amazing crafter. If you've never been to her site, what is stopping you?

As part of the reward I'm supposed to pass it on to a few other worth bloggers so I thought I would mention the ladies that I gave shout outs too earlier in the week.

Here are my picks...

The Scattered Mind of a Tatooed Minivan Mom She makes me laugh out loud! And currently she may be the only blog out there featuring "You Be Illin'" by Run DMC..LOL

Angela at Angela's adventures and mishaps. She is a great story teller and I enjoy hearing about her adventures. Plus her kids are so stinkin' cute!

and last but not least...

Tutu'sBliss TuTu's site has the following warning: I will continue to celebrate motherhood. So if breasts, birth, dilation and mother's milk makes you uncomfortable please consider yourself warned. The subtitle of her site should be "keepin' it real".

Thanks for stoppin' by today. Quit being a lurker and leave a comment.

The Golden Globes did it, why can't I?

I want to give a shout out to Enfys for giving me this Lovely Blogger award. The best part of this award was finding out that I made Enfys laugh! You gotta love that.

Following along with the rules of the award, I'm handing it out to five other deserving bloggers. If you aren't already regular visitors you should be! Drum roll, please. And the winners are:

Inkhearts. Shannon has a great blog and the best part is she doesn't even know how great it is. Vist her and leave a comment. When she returns the favor, you will be surprised by how uplifted you feel. Love you, girl!

Ferris and Simone. These two crazy cats will have you cracking up and their pets are pretty funny too. If you like cats, you'll love this blog.

Life with a Little One. Jenners makes me smile often and best of all she teaches me things without even trying. I'm not sure I would have undertaken such a huge blog makeover without her inspiration.

Between the Lines. An honest parenting blog about the ups and downs of raising twin girls and how it feels to go back to work after being a home.

Last but certainly not least,

The Daily Scrapper. She never fails to amaze me with how much scrapbooking one person can get done. Do you know she has already scrapped her Christmas pictures! I'm so jealous.

Thanks for stopping by.
