It's a girly week....
As you know I only have one kid this week. That's only 1/3 of what I'm usually entertaining but for some reason I'm having trouble coming up with fun stuff for my 11 year old and I to do.
Everything is sooooo expensive.
At 11, it's hard to tell what she'll find fun versus what she'll find boring. It's almost a coin toss.
I posted a request for help on Facebook and asked for some suggestions. I've come to the conclusion that most of my friends have a lot more free flowing cash than I do.
Because my MIL is taking my other kids to a small amusement park near her house I had this delusion in my head that I too needed to take Big G to an amusement park. Then my friend B pointed out to me that I needed to remember that this is my vacation too. After all, I just spent an entire day at Hershey Park less than a month ago.
I should do something with Big G that we both would enjoy. Don't get me wrong, I love amusement parks but they are wallet draining pits. By the time you pay to park, get in and to eat you will be dropping a lot of cash.
Sometimes we forget about the treasures we have in our own backyard.
Today, Big G and I are going to find some of those treasures and hopefully she'll have a good time.
Later this week, were going for pedicure and maybe to do a little (gulp, dare I say it) back-to-school shopping.

I know you'll find some great treasures. I bet she shares your wonderful sense of humor. You'll have a great time together. Don't say it's back to school shopping time already????
I don't have any advice for you ... but treasure hunting never goes out of style.
