Weekend Update: Thanksgiving, shopping, appliance repair and more
We had a great Thanksgiving. My father and step-mother came out to eat with us. My hubby cook up quite the feast. Of course, our middle daughter didn't eat a thing, save maybe the potatoes.
Friday I went out shopping at 4 a.m. My friend Becky and I tried to get into Target but that was a laughable joke. So we went to Kohl's. We got some pretty good bargains and I ended up with $80 worth of Kohl's cash.
We hit Target after the crowd died down a little but the bargain we were looking for was, of course, gone. Plus the line to check out was 2 1/2 hours long. We didn't buy anything there.
After Target, we went to Michael's and then we went to eat some breakfast and stopped at Walmart. We were home at 9:30...exhausted. Saturday my bargains didn't look too great after my refrigerator stopped working.
We currently have food jammed into our freezer downstairs, our shelf less garage refrigerator and in coolers throughout the garage. Maytag offered to come look at in on THURSDAY between 8-5...are they joking???? That's worse than the cable company.
I found an independent appliance repair place and they are hopefully coming by this afternoon. Keep your fingers crossed that it's just a minor repair.
I don't want a new fridge for Christmas!
Today is the first day of deer rifle season here in Pennsylvania. For those of you from non-hunting crazy states and/or countries that basically means it's a National Holiday.
We don't have school. Quite frankly, I really wish we did.
My kids have been off since mid-day Wednesday and they are OUT-OF-CONTROL.
I'm looking forward to getting back into our routine tomorrow.
We made cookies today. They turned out yummy. It was the recipe on the back of the butterscotch morsels bag. I could eat the entire tray, but I'm trying to cut back.
We also picked up the trash that the dog decorated the yard with. Stupid Dog.
Little G took some time out to play with some slime. I can't say for sure why he's so fascinated with this stuff. It must be the gross factor.
How did you spend your Thanksgiving holiday???

I wouldn't want my boys to get their hands on slime. I'm sure I would find it in the weirdest places months later :)
Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving. You're some Black Friday warrior! I'm too chicken to brave those crowds. Hope your fridge makes it!
Sounds like you had a great holiday. We are back to school today and I'm thrilled. So nice to get back to my regularly schedule life.
Hubs doesn't hunt but I'm from WV and know how hunting season is a big deal.
I hope you get by with a cheap fix for the fridge.
