Things I love about my job - reason #1
Lately I've been posting a lot of complaints.
I've been posting a lot of negatives.
I've been posting a lot of downs.
This week I'm not going to do that. This week I'm posting some things I love about both my jobs.
I'm posting reasons why I continue to do what I do even when I often don't want to.
The number one reason I'm a lunch lady....
I love those little dorks. Most of the time. Every now and then I let them get to me but for the most part I like being around them. I like when they get stuck in their jackets and they ask me for help. I like when they ask me to sign their yearbooks. I like when they tell me really long stories about how their front "toof" finally fell out. I like when they see me without a hairnet and a hat and they can't figure out how I know them.
Last week the preschool class in our building was all lined up waiting to get a drink at the water fountain. I was walking by and couldn't help but notice that after each little kid got a drink they quickly headed to the end of the line and began to do hamstring stretches against the wall.
It was impossibly cute and I couldn't resist stopping to stretch along with them.
One of the little preschoolers explained to me how to do it and then proceeded to tell me what a good stretcher I was.
That's me...one good stretcher.
Leave me a comment and tell me at least one thing that you like about your job.

THE KIDS.

Well since my "boss" is a sassy three year old I love the smiles, hugs, kisses and the "I make Mommy SOOOO happy" that I get through the day not to mention the cuddles. I also really love it when she "gets" something I have been teaching her. Her voice makes me smile and her smile makes me melt!

That's easy. The KIDS. For pretty much the same reasons. :)
Awe~ That is the cutest thing! What a sweet little kid! =)
My job as a SAHM is rather interesting. I love when the kids nap. HA!
sometimes we just need a reminder how good things can be..thanx :)
I love this. And I'd love to see you stretching with the kids. You already know that I love my students, but I also love my coworker with whom I share a room. On more than one occasion, our supervisor has come in to ask us to keep it down because we are laughing SO loudly that we are disrupting a meeting going on in her office next door. :D
This was great!! The best thing about ,y job is the same as yours: The kid.
I guess my job is "Mom" and I think one of the best things is that my kids are now 18 & 21 and they still like me! They like to spend time with me and 'share' me with their friends.
One of K's friends from elementary school sent me a friend request on facebook, at first I didn't know who it was and had to ask K. She told me and I just said "why does she want me to be her 'friend'?" She just looked at me like I was nuts and said "Because you are Mama Maynard!!!!" I love that they are okay with the fact that their friends and old school buddies still like me.
