Blog Challenge from my daughters

While in my craft room with my dds one of them came across the wonderful 12x12 pattern paper featured in these cards. ***sigh*** I remember getting this piece of paper in a gift bag at a benefit crop, but that's about all I remember about it.

So the conversation goes something like this:

DD#1 "Mommy, can I have this paper? It's sooooo pretty?"

DD#2 "No you can't have it, it won't be fair if you have it. There is only one piece."

DD#1 "I saw it first"

DD#2 "Na-uh, I saw it first."

Mom, trying to defuse the argument. "Let's make something from it and then we won't have to fight about it."

DD#1 "How many cards can you make with just one sheet of paper?"

Mom, light bulb going off in her head. "I don't know let's find out."

So that is how this challenge came to be. Seeing as I haven't had a comment on my blog for about two weeks, I don't have high hopes that many of you will play along. ***sighs and secretly hopes that Okie and Robyn will link her blog to theirs and send some traffic her way***

As you can see from these not-so-great photos I made twelve cards with one sheet of 12x12 paper and one sheet of black 8 1/2 by 11 paper. The card bases were pre-made and ready to go. A few of the cards have some ribbon on them as well.

I think they turned out rather cute. They were simple and most importantly they ended the argument between my daughters as to who got to have the sheet of paper. The answer....MOMMY.

So my challenge to you....can you make 12 cards from one sheet of 12x12 paper and one sheet of 8 1/2 by 11 paper and if so would you please ***pretty please*** link your cards to my blog so it looks like some one is reading mine. I would much appreciate it.... ***sigh***

  2. not so sure about this blog thing but the cards are very cute. I have a blog somewhere but I am not sure where I parked it, maybe that means I don't have a blog?

  4. Hey there if it makes you feel better I read your blog almost every day. I thought the glasses thing was kinda funny and very cool that they replaced them. My son left his at the lake and we had to go back and hunt in the sand to find them. Luckily we did and they were fine. WHEW they would have been $400 to replace. Stupid transitions, stupid polycarbonate lenses, stupid flex frames, I could go on. I will work on your challenge today and get something posted today.

  5. I'm going to try this challenge. It looks fun. However, I don't have a blog yet (seriously technically challenged), so sadly I can't link it to yours. This seems really fun. I will try to visit your blog more often. You have some really cute projects on here. Great inspiration.

  7. OK I decided to ignore my kids and work on your challenge. Not really they helped me out. Here is a link to my blog where I posted photos of my cards.

  8. I can appreciate how the challange came about. I would have given them each 1/2 of the sheet & asked them each to make a card or LO. I like what you came up with. Now you have cards on hand when you need it & they feel like they helped accomplish something.

I'm taking you up on your challenge but I don't think I'll be able to link any pictures. I may try to post them in a cricut thread though.
