Here is a picture of oldest right before she jumped off the high dive. Fearless.
On Monday morning there was a small local parade. The kids were a little disappointed that there was no candy throwing but it was still a lot of fun. Youngest and his buddy really seemed to enjoy the firetrucks.
Believe it or not, the weather stayed nice and we were able to have some neighbors over for a BBQ. It was great fun and everyone seemed to have a blast, even the kids.
Of course, now there is approximately 47 flies currently in my house. Is it wrong to hang fly tape from your chandelier?
Looks like fun.
ReplyDeleteIt is surprising how few high boards still exist due to liability issues. I can remember the municipal pool as a kid having 2 and 5 and 10 meter springboards. And I remember being scared to death of jumping off that 30 foot up 10 meter board the first time.
I bet the flies think it's wrong ... seriously I'm pleased everything turned out well.
ReplyDeleteHa! Flies are the most annoying little creatures! It does look like y'all had a great weekend- I am so glad! I am also glad that things are going better for you!
ReplyDeleteOh, and you guessed it- I am 2 cm!
I'm glad you're feeling better. I have days when my love tank feels like it is on empty too.
ReplyDeleteAnd WOW! I'm scared to go on a high dive like that! Kudos to your kiddo!
Your daughter is a brave one :) So glad that you had a good time!
ReplyDeleteWe had that problem one time at our house...my hubby got after them with the vacuum extension and sucked them all up! LOL Worked like a charm and no smushed bug guts everywhere! One time I climbed up on the high dive, had a panic attack and then had to have someone help me back down the ladder...when was that?...oh yeah...yesterday! hehehehe
