Little G and I went miniature golfing as promised. He had a great time and the ice cream we got afterwards really tasted good.
After losing one ball over the fence and into the bushes, Little Gs technique became a cross between golf and pool. He has a very unique way of hitting the ball and obviously you can tell that he isn't afriad to get down and dirty to make the shot.
Here's a good shot of his unique swing. He doesn't hit the ball with the broad side of the putter. He prefers to hit it like he's playing crochet.
I can't begin to tell you how incredibly cute T-ball is. You just have to experience it for yourself. He had so much fun and his excitement was contagious. He didn't complain even one time and it was close to 90 degrees outside when he was playing his game.
He proudly told me his favorite part was running and I think you can tell frm this picture that he was very serious about making it to third base.
We had a very fun weekend, just he and I. The girls had a great time at church camp with daddy. I will post some of those pictures later this week.
Big G got to drive a go cart all by herself and Middle G made it to the top of the rock climbing wall -- a personal best. My husband relived his childhood through a fun game of capture the flag.
What did you do this weekend?
hey, that unique putting style may win a big tourney later in life. i mean, it might not, but it could! he's stinking cute!
ReplyDeleteWhat is up with this weather!!!??? We were sweltering all weekend! I just can't get over this! Anyway, my son plays mini golf pretty much like yours ... it just cracks me up! And there is a lot of picking up and putting the ball down where he feels it needs to be! : )
ReplyDeleteAnd my son is doing soccer and he LOVES it ... though he started dragging on Sunday in the heat. All the kids were a bit lax about running after the first quarter. I love watching little kid sports -- it is behind amusing!
Glad you enjoyed your mommy-son weekend!
Hey, little G is living in the wrong country, he should be living in a country house in England, eating cucumber sandwiches and drinking tea, then a refined little game of croquet....

I love all the things you can do when the weather is nice. :)
ReplyDeleteWe got ice cream at the miniature golf place this weekend too. The line was wrapped from here to eternity : ). We Pennsylvanians can't handle 90 degree heat in April, can we?
ReplyDeleteYay for beautiful weather. The pictures are adorable! It sounds like y'all had such a great weekend.
